3D printer DIY
After long struggles we managed to make the Z axis work too! 3D for real (not yet a printer):
What was the problem with the Z axis? We use the Big Easy Driver to control the motors on the axes and if you look at the pictures you will see a very small white potentiometer next to which it says “cur adj”. We didn’t see him :-D.
Some details about the “setup” on the software side: We use GRBL on the Arduino controller, Universal-G-Code-Sender to adjust the printer and send G-Code to GRBL, and Inkscape to generate G-Code from the vector image .
As you can see from the video, the precision leaves a lot to be desired, the line is shaky, it’s clear that we will have to take it off the hammer ;-). But we were making progress. Bogdan Ilie is already working on the print head, and we will come back with details, we hope soon.
